— Russian Civil War

The Russian Civil War began in 1916 when the people in Russia lost confidence in the monarchy and wanted to establish their communist utopia under the leadership of Vladimir Lenin. The war, which started as a normal civil war at first, later became a global one. In this committee, you will either be on the monarchist side of the Russian Civil War and try to save the Russian Empire, or you will be on the side of Soviet Russia and aim to build a communist utopia with the support of the people.

The ‘90s economic crisis was made out of bitterness and hate. Even after the Cold War had ended with the separation of the Soviet Union, none of the blockades and treaties that had been formed by either side of the Cold War had been amended. So all life on earth had been asked to pick their side. The world economy which just got out of a recession from over funding military powers saw a  decrease in exports and imports which has frozen the world economy. 

Historical Economic Council (HEC)

—“The after effects of the Cold War “

The delegates have to be quick and decisive to avoid the total collapse of their country’s government by any means. There is not much more time for this crisis to continue but the wall between the sides presents a challenge.

There are two ways a crisis like this ends, either by cooperation between enemies or through the more guaranteed way of war.  So pick your way and your side because survival is the only value of importance to you.

The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) is the most powerful body of the United Nations responsible for maintaining security and peace among member countries. While other organs of the United Nations can only make advisory decisions, it is one of the two United Nations bodies, along with the International Court of Justice, that has the authority to make binding decisions. This binding nature is clearly stated in the United Nations Charter, which almost all member countries have signed. 

INANMUN’24 will entertain the following agenda item in HUNSC:

—“Bosnia Herzegovina war and Serbia dispute the actions of the Balkan peninsula and european countries in this direction”

At this advanced committee level, we will discuss the historical Cyprus issue and will evaluate the actions committed by the Serbs against the Bosnians during the Bosnian War between 1992 and 1995 on the territory of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina (today’s Bosnia and Herzegovina) from the perspective of the past and the perspective of the delegates, and see what actions we should take where necessary.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is an international organization founded in 1969, comprising 57 member states. Its goal is to promote solidarity and cooperation among Islamic countries, addressing political, economic, and social issues. The OIC aims to safeguard the interests of the Muslim world and enhance collaboration on various fronts, including cultural exchange and humanitarian efforts.

INANMUN’24 will entertain the following agenda item in OIC:

—“Islamic Countries and Terrorism: the Recurring Issue of Misunderstandings and Violence”

This time Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will focus on the issue of terrorism concerning Islamic countries and their areas to prevent recurring issues of misunderstanding and violence. For decades, Islamic countries have suffered from terrorist actions by some organizations and false accusations against Islamic Society. Now Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has decided to get together and finally determine their issues and resolve this pressing problem with international cooperation and comprehensive dialogue. The OIC wishes to prevent the danger of terrorism and discrimination also will take any measures for possible misunderstandings.

The World Health Organization (WHO) is responsible for dealing with global health matters by setting standarts for medications, deciding on health research agenda, and providing techincal support to countries. The main goal of the organisation is to achieve better health quality around the globe 

INANMUN’24 will entertain the following agenda items in WHO: —”Improving Doctor’s Living Conditions and Sustainability of Healthcare Services: Low Wages, High Workloads, and Human Resource Crisis” —”Addressing the Necessity for Regulatory Measures in Medical Ethics and Legislation within the Healthcare Sector” 

Unfortunately, the world is witnessing some actions, and behaviors that do not befit the honor of the medical profession. Almost every channel has TV programs related to health. Although the emergence of these TV programs is natural, sometimes it has become a place where people spread false information and manipulate the public for their own gain. Even worse, during the anti-bribery operations carried out, “checks, scholarships, and free vocations on luxury places received by doctors from pharmaceutical companies” were discovered. Unfortunately, some cases intersect with organ mafias. On the other hand, there is a visible increase in incidents such as attacks, kidnappings, and injuries to doctors. Looking at the big picture, this and similar events show the world that there is a need to make regulations in law and ethics.

The United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is the committee that globally combats drugs, organised crimes, corruption and terrorism in hope of securing security and justice. 

INANMUN’24 will entertain the following agenda item in UNODC: —”Ensuring Children Welfare and Protecting Them Against Threats” 

Crimes against children, including physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, and exploitation, are a global issue that not only causes harm and suffering to children, but also has far-reaching consequences for their development, well-being, and the health of society as a whole. According to the UN Report, every year, tens of millions of children are subjected to extreme forms of violence, including sexual abuse, trafficking, rape, torture, and even murder. Many children are also denied basic human rights such as education, health care, and protection. Child abuse has a devastating and long-lasting impact on their emotional, physical, mental, and social well-being.
